Yes, the situation is so much like in Padosan. Wonder how the film is. But as Vikram points our, the enttire scene betwen two songs is missing. So, dont even feel tempted to watch the movie

I totally agree with you! Half the time I end up buying dvds and watching movies just for the songs. And more often than not, the songs are missing from the vcds/dvds. It’s feels so terrible!
Songs, we get to know when they are deleted but they delete so many scenes that everything appears so incoherent. And we dont even get to watch a film in it’s entirety and appreciate it.
I love everything about Teesri Manzil and have watched it so many times. But I feel sad everytime I watch it on dvd coz of that missing scene.

I always kept wondering why this song ends in between and Antam Bantam begins out of nowhere in all the youtube links.

We need consumer laws that guarantee value for money. Eros DVD of Teeseri Manzil and Ultra video’s VCD of this movie Hum Sab Chor hai are classic examples of how these video companies cut corners and chop movies arbitrarily without concern for paying public’s entertainment and value for money and how their callous method of trying to squeeze the films in less no of discs to cut costs kill rob the classics of their joy. Teesri Manzil is chopped of a good 25 mins of comic scenes between Shammi-Asha and her friends including villian Premnath’s entry in the film. Hum Sab Chor hai is more shocking. This wonderful song is chopped after first half and the song ends with the second half of the song Antam Bantam and all scenes between the 2 songs missing!!!! The courts scene of Nalini Jaywant later is also jumbled with her case ending coming first and all early sequences with trial start coming later towards movie end! I am, certain an editor like Guru Dutt couldn’t have done this deliberately.WTF????
